Where to Find the Head of a Broken Spear
To locate the Head of a Broken Spear, players must venture inside the Owlbear Nest located west of the Emerald Grove. The item rests inside the adult mother Owlbear that guards her nest.
You can acquire the spear head by defeating the mother Owlbear in combat and looting her corpse afterwards. Alternatively, if you allow the story events to play out without fighting her directly, goblins will eventually enter the cave, leaving her body available for looting.
Locating the Shaft of a Broken Spear
Before you can craft the complete weapon, you will also need the matching counterpart known as the Shaft of a Broken Spear. This item is located nearby in the forest outside the Owlbear cave.
Look for the dying dwarf named True Soul Edowin along the path. Search Edowin's body to retrieve the shaft, which completes the set of required materials.
How to Combine and Use the Broken Spear
Once both pieces are safely stored in your character's inventory, open your backpack and right-click on either piece. Select the combine option to bring up the crafting interface menu.
Drag the remaining piece into the empty slot and press the combine button to craft the Vision of the Absolute spear. This unique weapon deals bonus damage against multi-eyed creatures like spiders and can blind enemies upon landing successful hits.
